Our mission goes beyond gathering exceptional bows—we exist to place them in the hands of dedicated musicians.
Far too often, magnificent bows remain locked away in vaults and private storages around the world.
We established this collection to bring these instruments back to life and return them to the frontline of musical expression.

About Our Bow Collection
We place no strict limits on the types of bows we offer. Our collection spans a wide spectrum, from historic French masterpieces to exceptional contemporary creations, chosen without bias toward market price or prestige.
We believe that a high market value or rare pedigree does not automatically make a bow the right partner for you. A bow’s character is shaped by its origin, era, wood qualities, and structural design. What matters most is the beauty, projection, and depth of sound you can draw from it—qualities that market prices cannot fully reflect. At SASSAFRAZ, we always look through the eyes of the musician, devoted to helping you discover your ideal match.
Program Fees & Support Conditions
To ensure the sustainable care and growth of our collection, our program operates on a partially supported, paid-loan basis (with monthly fees thoughtfully set to start from a modest range).
Specific terms are tailored individually through open conversation, taking into account the bow’s market value, as well as your artistic achievements, future potential, performance region, and financial situation. Every fee contribution goes directly toward insurance, collection maintenance, and furthering our musician support initiatives.
(Note: Additional costs, such as travel for test plays, hall rental fees, or external advisor honorariums, may occasionally apply.)
Peace of Mind for Your Music
Standard instrument insurance policies can be restrictive and often fall short of offering complete peace of mind, leaving many musicians worried about unpredictable risks—even with their own instruments.
To help you focus purely on your music, SASSAFRAZ offers a comprehensive safety net. Should an unfortunate accident occur with a loaned bow, you will face no extra financial burden beyond the agreed loan fee, regardless of insurance coverage outcomes.
